Moscow authorities see Philippines’ interest in business cooperation — department head

It is noted that the program of cooperation for 2023 - 2025 was signed after talks with the Mayor of Manila

The delegation of the Moscow government has presented a business mission to the Philippines, which showed interest in Moscow’s experience in urban technologies and also the interest of the business communities of the two countries in bilateral cooperation, department head of the Russian capital’s government Sergey Cheremin told TASS.

"Moscow has not merely presented the cutting-edge achievements in the urban environment in the Philippines but has also arranged a full-fledged business mission with the participation of our chamber of industry and commerce. The forum "Moscow - Manila: Modern Vectors of Bilateral Cooperation" has clearly demonstrated the interest of the business communities of the two countries in expanding foreign economic ties, the need to share experience in implementing the Smart & Safe City programs, the upgrade of essential municipal systems, rollout of digital technologies, and development of technology parks, creative industries and museum exhibitions," the official said.

The program of cooperation for 2023 - 2025 was signed after talks with the Mayor of Manila, he noted.

"We agreed to share experience and information on the matters of city transport development, including electric, urban planning and education; developing relations among companies and entrepreneurs of the two metropolitan cities, and strengthening cooperation in tourism, the environment, sports and culture. The delegation visited municipal infrastructural facilities and technology parks," Cheremin said.
