BAKU, November 17. /TASS/. Russia is interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan in the shipbuilding sphere, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said at the plenary session of the 11th Russia-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum.

"We have already launched assembly facilities for trucks here; a helicopter service center was established, production of grain harvesters and rail products’ supplies are in place. On the one part, excellent capacities are in our regions; facilities are in place in the Astrakhan Region. On the other part, one of the most state-of-the-art shipyards for the time being was created here, in Baku. This is very efficient and complex production. We will develop cooperation based on such opportunities," the Minister said.

The large shipyard in Baku is capable of building ships of any type, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said in October of this year.
