Yandex’ 3Q 2022 revenues under US GAAP up by 46% yoy to $2.1 bln — report

Revenue from "smart devices" of the company increased by 74% in annual terms - up to $59 mln

MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. The total revenue of Yandex under US GAAP in the 3rd quarter of 2022 increased by 46% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 133.2 billion rubles ($2.1 bln), according to the materials of the group of companies.

In the reporting period, adjusted net profit amounted to 5 billion rubles. Adjusted EBITDA fell to 20 billion rubles ($321 mln) from 26 billion rubles ($417 mln) in the second quarter.

Revenue from "smart devices" of the company increased by 74% in annual terms - up to 3.7 billion rubles ($59 mln).

Revenue of the search and portal segment in the 3rd quarter 2022 grew by 45% year-on-year to 60.9 billion rubles ($980 mln). The share of mobile revenue was 59.6% of the total search share for this period.

"Share of Russian search market, including mobile, averaged 62.0% in Q3 2022, up from 59.3% in Q3 2021. <…> Search share on Android in Russia was 61.9% in Q3 2022, up 3.1 percentage points from 58.9% in Q3 2021 and flat compared to 61.9% in Q2 2022. <…> Search share on iOS in Russia was 48.3% in Q3 2022, up 5.5 percentage points from 42.8% in Q3 2021," according to the report.

"Mobile search traffic was 69.3% of our total search traffic in Q3 2022. <…>Search queries in Russia grew 4% in Q3 2022 compared with Q3 2021," the company said.

The turnover of the e-commerce segment in January-September almost doubled in annual terms up to 195.6 billion rubles ($3.1 bln).

The share of third-party sellers on the marketplace in the 3rd quarter of 2022 was 83% (78% a year earlier). The number of active buyers at the end of the third quarter increased 1.5 times to 12.5 million, active sellers - 2 times, up to 35,000.

The number of Yandex Plus subscribers grew by 53% to 15.8 million, the company noted.
