MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Production of the latest Russian civilian airplanes MC-21 and Il-114-300 can be localized in India, international cooperation and regional policy director of Rostec Corporation Viktor Kladov told TASS in an interview on the verge of the Aero India 2021 exhibition.
"We offer making a joint development to our Indian partners on its [Il-114-300 - TASS] basis - a Russian-Indian modification, and organize its production in India in case of successful promotion on the Indian market," Kladov said.
The Russian regional turboprop airplane Il-114-300 made the flight on December 16, 2020 in the Moscow Region, Kladov noted.
Russia is ready to cooperate with India in maintenance and assembly of MC-21 passenger jets, the Rostec’s representative said. "Speaking about MC-21, we are ready to discuss different options of industrial cooperation. This can be an authorization for a maintenance and repair center, establishment of a home depot for spares and a training center or even fabrication of individual structural elements and units and assembly of aircraft from aircraft kits, if there is a huge order for about 200 aircraft," Kladov added.
