SOCHI, May 15 /TASS/. Russia highly appreciates the support Austria is providing to the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, President Vladimir Putin said after negotiations with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.

"We in Russia highly appreciate the consistent position of the Austrian side in support of this project [Nord Stream 2], aimed at ensuring the energy security of the entire Eurasian continent," the head of state stressed.
