Russia’s Avrora air carrier launches flights between Yuzno-Sakhalinsk and Tokyo

The flights will last 2 hours and 20 minutes

VLADIVOSTOK, April 2. /TASS/. Russia’s Avrora air carrier (part of the Aeroflot Group) has launched flights between the city of Yuzno-Sakhalinsk and the Japanese capital of Tokyo, the company’s press service said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The Avrora air company launched flights between Yuzno-Sakhalinsk and Tokyo on April 2, 2019," the statement reads. "The flights, scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays, will last 2 hours and 20 minutes," the press service noted, adding that the air carrier used the Airbus A319 aircraft on the route.

Avrora earlier operated flights to Japan’s Sapporo.

The air carrier has a fleet of 24 aircraft and operates regular domestic flights in Russia’s Far East and international flights to Asian countries.
