Putin orders to submit draft law on government support of Arctic investments to State Duma

The document should be submitted to the parliament by July 1

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. The draft law on measures of government support for investments into the Arctic Region should be presented to the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, by July 1, 2019. The relevant assignment of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the government was posted on the Kremlin’s website on Thursday.

"To ensure submission of the draft federal law to the State Duma, stipulating special measures of government support for the investment activity in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation, paying particular attention to incentivization of exploration and construction of infrastructural facilities at the expense of private investments," the list of assignment indicates.

The document should be submitted to the parliament by July 1 of this year.

Putin also gave an assignment to prepare the draft development strategy of the Russian Arctic Zone until December of this year.
