Moscow counts on active participation of American businessmen at SPIEF

Moscow also expects that the United States will develop a favorable attitude towards Russia’s business circles

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Moscow is counting on the active participation of representatives of American business at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which is to be held in early June, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday. He was opening a meeting with a group of representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce.

"We are waiting for the active participation of American businessmen at the SPIEF," the head of the Russian diplomatic mission said.

Moscow also expects that the United States will develop a favorable attitude towards Russia’s business circles, according to Lavrov.

"We want to attract foreign businesses, including from the United States, and create favorable conditions for them. We hope there will be also favorable attitude towards Russia’s business circles," Lavrov stressed.
