Russian manufacturer mulls delivering Ansat helicopters to Mexico

The company also showcased Ansat helicopters in Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand

BANGALORE /India/, February 21. /TASS/. The Russian Helicopters company (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is in talks on supplying Ansat helicopters to Mexico, the company’s CEO Andrei Bogisnky told TASS on the sidelines of the Aero India Show 2019.

"Apart from China, we showcased Ansat helicopters in Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. Thailand expressed great interest in them, but there are certain requirements concerning equipment. We also continue talks with a Mexican company, Craft Avia Center," he said.

Deliveries to China 

The Russian Helicopters company expects the Chinese aviation authorities to validate the Ansat helicopter certificate before the end of the first quarter or in April at the latest, which would make it possible to start supplying these helicopters to China, Bogisnky also said.

"On February 18, the Chinese aviation authorities validated the engine’s certificate and now we expect that the Ansat certificate will be validated before the end of the first quarter or in April. We signed a contract on the supply 20 helicopters in Zhuhai, and the delivery will begin before the year ends," he said.
