Ex-CEO of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance remains chairman of Rostec-Renault JV

Board Chairman of Autovaz Sergei Skvortsov stressed that the nomination for a replacement of Carlos Ghosn has not been discussed yet

SOCHI, February 15. /TASS/. Carlos Ghosn, ex-CEO of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi automobile producers alliance, still remains Board Chairman of the Alliance Rostec Auto BV [a joint venture between the Russian state-run corporation Rostec and Renault, owner of the leading Russian carmaker Autovaz] but does not participate in management, Board Chairman of Autovaz Sergei Skvortsov told TASS on Friday on the sidelines of the Russian Investment Forum.

"Carlos Ghosn has not yet stepped down [from the Board of Directors of Alliance Rostec Auto BV - TASS]. This issue has not yet been legally resolved. However, the documents indicate that Carlos Ghosn cannot participate in decision-making," Skvortsov noted.

"The nomination for a replacement has not been discussed yet," he added. "It will take some time until there are replacements in the whole structure [of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance - TASS]," Skvortsov noted.

The issue of reshuffling the management of the Netherlands-based company will not be linked to planned re-domiciliation of the Autovaz owner to Russia, the top manager added.

Carlos Ghosn was arrested on November 19, 2018 by investigators from the Tokyo Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of violating Japanese financial law. He was dismissed from his executive posts at Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi later on.
