Putin to meet with BP’s CEO

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with BP’s Chief Executive Officer Robert Dudley on Thursday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Putin is working in Moscow" and he is to give awards in the sphere of science and innovations to young scientists according to the schedule, Peskov said. "In general, Putin always attaches a great importance to science and to this award in particular; the importance of our scientists in terms of the general course for a technological breakthrough definitely increases many times," the Kremlin spokesman said.

He specified that the head of state also has internal meetings on schedule.

"Over the course of the afternoon we expect Putin to receive the chief executive officer of BP, Mr Dudley," the Kremlin spokesman noted. Peskov said that "the company has long been on the Russian market.".
