Russia’s State Duma Speaker suggests holding joint business forum with Pakistan

He noted everything should be done with the parliamentary support to have this dialog

TEHRAN, December 9. /TASS/. Speaker of the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin made a proposal to hold a joint business forum of Russia and Pakistan with participation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly [the lower house of the Pakistani parliament - TASS] Asad Qaiser.

The politicians met in Tehran within the framework of the second conference of parliament speakers of Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey for combating terrorism and strengthening regional interaction.

"A joint business forum of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the business community of Pakistan can be held. Representatives of exactly the spheres where we need to develop cooperation should be invited to this forum and everything should be done with the parliamentary support to have this dialog," Volodin said.

The delegation of Pakistani parliament members expressed interests in Russian technologies in agriculture and the metals sector on its part.
