Yenisei River Shipping Company prepares fleet for future navigation

The Yenisei River Shipping Company will invest about $5.4 mln in preparing its fleet for the navigation in 2019

KRASNOYARSK, December 4. /TASS/. The Yenisei River Shipping Company, the main cargo transporter along rivers in the Krasnoyarsk Region, will invest about 360 million rubles ($5.4 million) in preparing its fleet for the navigation in 2019, the company’s press service said on Monday.

"We begin the service campaign, where investments in the fleet’s preparations for the navigation season in 2019 will make about 360 million rubles. <…> Our specialists will service 430 vessels," the press service said.

Main works will be at the Krasnoyarsk Ship Repair Center and at the fleet’s two other service bases.

The Yenisei River Shipping Company told TASS the financing in 2019 is similar to investments in previous years. The company will finance planned service works: boiler units will be installed on four vessels, the main power unit will be replaced on The Shira motor ship, and diesel generators will be installed on a few other vessels. Besides, the company plans to complete repairing of sea vessels - The Severodonets motor ship and The A. Zavenyagin icebreaker (owned by Nornickel).

The Yenisei River Shipping Company is the biggest cargo transporter along water routes in the Yenisei River basin. The company has the biggest in the region fleet of 650 dry-cargo and tanker vessels. Nornickel is the main shareholder in the company.
