Total wealth of Russian billionaires increased in January - November 2018 by $2.657 bln

MOSCOW, December 3. /TASS/. Total wealth of Russian billionaires increased in January - November 2018 by $2.657 bln, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index rating.

In total, the rating includes 500 of the richest people in the world; the Russians currently account for 24 positions in the list.

In particular, in the reporting period, net worth of Head of Novatek Leonid Mikhelson, occupying 38th place in the rating, increased by $3.59 bln, Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov (60th place in rating) - increased by $3.63 bln, co-owner of Novatek Gennady Timchenko (68 place in the rating) - increased by $3.72 bln

The greatest losses were recorded for owner of Renova group Viktor Vekselberg - $2.92 bln, co-owner of UMMC holding Iskander Makhmudov - $2.21 bln, and former Head of retailer Magnit Sergey Galitsky - $1.45 bln.

The index is calculated based on the value of shares of companies in which billionaires own shares, and is updated at the close of every trading day in New York. For a number of companies, the calculation is based on the ratio of the company's capitalization to EBITDA or the price of shares to earnings per share.
