Northern Character film festival in Murmansk attracts delegates from four countries

The Northern Character film and television international festival attracted more than 100 delegates from Russia’s regions and from Norway, Sweden and Finland

MURMANSK, November 29. /TASS/. The Northern Character film and television international festival attracted more than 100 delegates from Russia’s regions and from Norway, Sweden and Finland, the festival’s organizers said after the opening ceremony on Thursday.

"This year, the festival is organized for the 11th time," the organizers’ representative said. "This year, it features delegations from Norway, Sweden, Finland and a few Russian regions, the total of more than 100 people."

The festival’s organizers have received 174 works, 82 of them will participate in the competition. Authors represent Russia’s regions and eleven countries, including the Barents Region countries, and Turkey, Georgia and South Korea.

The event’s program also includes master classes, discussions, meetings with the audience. Russian filmmakers will be invited to tour the Kola Peninsula’s most scenic places, so that they could pick locations for new productions.
