Russia files appeal in Ukrainian debt case to UK Supreme Court

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russia filed an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom against the decision of the Court of Appeal of England, which called for a comprehensive legal proceedings for one of arguments in the case of the Ukraine’s sovereign debt to Russia worth $3 bln, the Russian Ministry of Finance says on Wednesday.

"On October 26, 2018, The Law Debenture Trust Corporation plc, representing interests of the Russian Federation as the sole owner of the said Eurobonds issue, filed an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom as instructed by the Russian Ministry of Finance against the decision of the England’s Court of Appeal on the fourth argument of Ukraine. It is expected that the appeal will be tried in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in June 2019 at the earliest," the Ministry says.
