In June 2015, Russia and Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia offers cooperation in respect of construction of floating nuclear thermal power plants (FNTPP) to Indonesia, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said on Friday at the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

"Cooperation in the sphere of engineering and construction of high-technology vessels and high-speed vessels is of immediate interest. In particular, this pertains to floating nuclear thermal power plants, which can be initially built at Russian shipyards with subsequent organization of construction in Indonesia," the minister said.

In June 2015, Russia and Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. A memorandum of understanding on construction of high-capacity NPP and floating NPP in Indonesia was signed in September of this year.
