The fourth Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on September 11-13

MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told reporters that no confirmation had been received yet of Kim Jong-un’s participation in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.

"You know that an opportunity (to take part in the Eastern Economic Forum in September - TASS) was provided. The forum is open to all those willing to take part in it, all regional leaders," Peskov said. "However, there is no specific information at the moment. We have received no confirmation from Pyongyang on that score yet."

Peskov recalled that the Russian president had sent a message of congratulations to the North Korean leader on the anniversary of Korea’s liberation marked on August 15. "This is an important anniversary, this is a traditional telegram, in which [the president] stressed the desire and willingness to establish dialogue and develop mutually beneficial relations," the Kremlin spokesman noted.

The fourth Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on September 11-13. Its program will include more than 50 business events, including panel discussions and round tables.
