MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Gazprom expects that the European Union will undertake required activities to cure violations found by the WTO within the Third Energy Package framework by aligning its legislation with the report, the Russian gas holding said on Friday.
"Gazprom always supported the need of taking into consideration interests of gas suppliers in implementation of the European energy policy. Therefore, it expresses satisfaction with the final report in terms pertaining to identified violations and expects that the EU will undertake appropriate action by bringing its laws into conformity with the report," the company said.
The arbitration panel of WTO earlier recognized that Russia was right in some points in its dispute with the European Union regarding lawfulness of the EU Third Energy Package.
