Japan’s Hino gets permit to build plant in Moscow Region

Investments into the project will total about $15.7 mln

MOSCOW, July 20. /TASS/. Japan’s Hino received an authorization to build a truck assembly factory in Khimki, Moscow Region. Investments into the project will total about 1 bln rubles ($15.7 mln), press-service of the regional construction ministry reports on Friday.

"This project is among a priority ones and is supported by the Construction Promotion Center of the Moscow Region. Its area will be over 10,000 square meters. Investments into the project implementation are estimated as totaling about 1 bln rubles ($15.7 mln)," the press service said.

The production facility will be located in Khimki. 50 new jobs will be created by the plant start.

"The enterprise plans to assemble four modifications of medium and light trucks, making it possible to present several models at once on the Russian market. The capacity will be about two thousand automobile per year," the press service reports.

Hino Motors and the government of the Moscow Region signed an agreement on interaction last October. The company plans to start semi-knocked down assembly of trucks in 2019.
