Russian PM to discuss support for employment with the Council for Strategic Development

Proposals on the national projects dubbed "Workforce productivity and support for employment" and "Small and medium businesses and support for individual business initiatives" will be considered

MOSCOW, July 16. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects. The press service of the cabinet of ministers reported that the participants of the meeting will discuss proposals on the national projects dubbed "Workforce productivity and support for employment" and "Small and medium businesses and support for individual business initiatives."

The meeting will be attended by Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov; Deputy Prime Ministers Alexei Gordeyev, Yury Trutnev and Konstantin Chuichenko; Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Minister of Digital Development, Mass Media and Communications Konstantin Noskov, Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev and Chairman of Vnesheconombank Igor Shuvalov.

The Russian Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects was established in 2016 to provide cooperation between federal, regional and local authorities and public associations, scientific and other organizations when studying issues related to the country’s strategic development and the implementation of priority projects (in the spheres of education, health care, mortgage, housing and public utilities, international cooperation, workforce productivity, small businesses, road construction, environment, development of mono-cities, etc). The presidium was created to address the current issues of the Council’s activity. The head of government is its chairman.
