Putin: INNOPROM-2018 to help boost international cooperation

The president noted that each year the forum brings together more and more participants from various countries

MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. INNOPROM--2018, an international industrial trade fair, will help boost international cooperation and improve competitiveness of Russian-made goods, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a greeting message to participants in and organizers of the fair.

"I am convinced that the fair will be a success, that it will help expand international cooperation and boost competitiveness of Russian-made goods, that it will give an impetus to new, promising projects," says the message posted on the Kremlin website.

The president noted that each year the forum brings together more and more participants from various countries and proves its worth as an expert platform for discussion of a wide range of issues of expanding international cooperation, for making business contacts and demonstrating Russian and foreign innovative developments.

"Nowadays, high technologies determine the development of present-day society, prompt economic growth, help improve living standards. That is why I think the slogan of the current fair - Digital Production - to be very topical," he wrote.

INNOPROM- international industrial trade fairs have been held annually in Russia’s Urals city of Yekaterinburg since 2010. In 2012, the Russian government granted a federal status to it. This year, the fair will take place from July 9 through 12, with its main topic being Digital Production. The fair’s organizer is the Russian ministry of industry and trade, and its partner in 2018 is South Korea. TASS is the general information partner and press center operator.
