WASHINGTON, April 20. /TASS/. The Russian government does not plan nationalization of the domestic aluminum giant Rusal but the mechanism can be considered for other companies hit by US sanctions, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Friday.
"No, we are not considering [Rusal nationalization] so far," the minister said.
At the same time, nationalization can be taken into consideration to rescue some companies, Siluanov noted. "Nationalization for a symbolic amount can probably be viewed as a support principle in order to preserve production, labor team, and so on. It can be viewed in general if owners fall under sanctions," he said.
