PERM, April 20. /TASS/. The number of acting industrial parks is expected to go up from 111 to 130 by the end of 2018, co-chairman of Russia's AIP (Association of Industrial Parks) board Maxim Pazdnikov said in an interview with TASS.
"As of now 166 industrial parks have been established in Russia, 111 of them are acting platforms, which are waiting for new residents, with some of them fully packed or almost packed. As of now, the total occupancy rate of Russian industrial parks (166) equals 54%," he said, adding that "this year around 130 acting parks" are expected.
According to Pazdnikov, each year around 20-25 new industrial park projects emerge in Russia. "We also see a rising number of parks’ residents, as of today there are around 2,500 of them. According to our conservative estimates, manufactures with a total amount of investments worth 725 bln rubles ($11.8 bln) have been set up since the practice of establishing industrial parks started in 2005," he added.
