MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. The Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria during the past day organized the exit of 3,005 militants and members of their families from the town of Douma. Apart from that, fifty-six hostages were released after negotiations with militants, the Russian defense ministry said on Monday.

"Militants and members of their families have been leaving the town of Douma via the humanitarian corridor with a checkpoint near the settlement of al-Wafidin since yesterday. By now, as many as 3,005 militants and members of their families have left the area. All are being taken by buses to the north of the Aleppo province. The bus convoy is being escorted by Syrian security service patrol and ambulance cars," the ministry said.

According to the ministry, the Russian side demands leaders of the Jaysh al-Islam radical group release hostages kept by militants. As many as 56 people, including 16 women and four children, were released after negotiations on Sunday. Further efforts are being taken.
