Erdogan vows to go ahead with S-400 purchase deal with Russia despite US sanctions

ANKARA, April 9. /TASS/. Turkey won’t give up the purchase of S-400 air defense missile systems from Russia, despite the new anti-Russian sanctions slapped by the United States, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday.

"This [the purchase of S-400 systems] is of concern for someone. But Turkey will determine its destiny itself. This also relates to the issues of security provision," Erdogan said.
