US plans using terrorists to promote its interests — Iranian defense minister

The US has rescued several terrorist leaders and some high-profile terrorists and evacuated them from the region, the Iranian defense minister said

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The United States rescued several terrorist leaders from the Middle East and intends using them to promote its interests, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami said on Wednesday.

"In places where terrorists were acting in their (US) interests, they have been supporting them," Hatami said in an interview with Russia’s Rossiya-24 television news channel.

"They have rescued several terrorist leaders and some high-profile terrorists and evacuated them from the region," the Iranian defense minister said. "Today we have clues and evidence that they (the United States) want to engage them in other places of the region."

"It seems that the threat of terrorism exists in Central Asia and in the Caucasus because there are signs and evidence that some of terrorists are redeployed to Afghanistan," Hatami added.
