Russian experts to inspect Romanian defense facility as part of trust-building measures

In the course of the inspection, a group of experts will visit the defense facility at the site of its habitual location in times of peace

MOSCOW, March 28. /TASS/. Russian experts will inspect on Tuesday a defense facility in Romania in line with provisions of the 2011 Vienna document on trust-building measures, Sergei Ryzhkov, the director of the Russian national center for reducing nuclear threat said on Tuesday.

"The assessment visit will take place on March 28, 2017, and will take one day," he said. "Assessments of the kind pursue the goal of verifying information on defense forces and plans for the deployment of the main armaments and technologies."

In the course of the inspection, a group of experts will visit the defense facility at the site of its habitual location in times of peace. The local commanders are expected to provide information on manpower and on the main armament systems deployed there.
