MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russia’s officer corps should take into account the experience gained during the military operation in Syria, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with recently promoted high-level military officers and prosecutors.
"It is the officer corps’ duty to take into consideration the experience gained by the armed forces during the Syrian operation in order to advance military build-up so that the most promising weapons are provided to the country’s Army, Navy and Aerospace Force. It is important to enhance the combat capabilities of the armed forces as well as their capability to accomplish training missions," Putin noted.
The president also said that the military experience gained in Syria as well as other aspects of the country’s military activities will be discussed at the annual meeting of Defense Ministry's board scheduled to be held in late December.
