GORKI, December 6. /TASS/. No specific talks are underway on the possibility of providing air defense systems to Turkey, the chief of Russia’s federal service for military-technical cooperation, Aleksandr Fomin, told the media on Tuesday.
"No, no specific talks are underway for the time being," Fomin said in reply to a question.
Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik said talks were underway over the possibility of acquiring air defense systems from Russia.
Later, Russian presidential aide for military-technical cooperation, Vladimir Kozhin, said Russia had had no talks with Turkey over S-300 air defense systems yet.
"There’ve been no talks, let alone decisions on selling S-300s to Turkey," he said.
