International Army Games to be held in China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan

The preparations for the third International Army Games are underway, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Some International Army Games competitions are due to be held in China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told a conference of the All-Russian Armed Forces Veterans Organization on Thursday.

The minister noted that preparations are underway for the third International Army Games.

"It is planned to hold some of the competitions in China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," he said.

Shoigu added that the International Army Games had become a contemporary form of combat training. "Over 100 teams from 19 countries have taken part in them this year. The Russian servicemen have finished first for the second time in a row," the minister said.
