MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. Russia’s weapons manufacturer Kalashnikov will bring its latest selections to the Army-2016 international show early next month. In part, it will display remote-controlled weapons platforms, drones and amphibious assault boats, the concern’s press-service said.
"To better demonstrate the capabilities of our products we will open a newly-built display center having a permanent exposition and a fan zone with a virtual shooting gallery and a souvenir shop," the press-service quotes Kalashnikov’s CEO Aleksey Krivoruchko as saying.
For the first time ever the experimental samples of the newest sniper rifles SVK and VVS-338 will be put on open display. Among other exhibits visitors will be able to see an upgraded Kalashnikov assault rifle and a prototype of the newly configured Lebedev handgun for the 9x19 mm cartridge.
The second international military-technical show Army-2016 will be held at the Defense Ministry’s theme park Patriot near Moscow on September 6-11.
