Russia leading in first stages of International Army Games contests

The International Army Games are held in the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan from July 30 to August 11

ALABINO (Moscow region), August 1. /TASS/. Russian teams are leading on the results of the first stages of all contests of the International Army Games except the Airborne Platoon contest where representatives of Kazakhstan have taken the lead, the tournament’s chief referee Russian Major General Dmitry Gorbatenko told reporters on Monday.

"The Russian Federation is in the lead on the results of the first day of the contests. The team of the Republic of Kazakhstan is winning according to the preliminary results of the Airborne Platoon competition," Gorbatenko said.

The International Army Games are held in the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan from July 30 to August 11. A total of 121 teams from 19 countries participate in 23 contests of the Games.
