TIRASPOL, May 18. /TASS/. An exercise involving more than 400 servicemen of Russia’s task force has been completed in Transdniestria, Task Force Chief Dmitry Zelenkov said on Wednesday.

"During the maneuvers, the servicemen successfully accomplished all assigned missions and demonstrated skills in operating military and special hardware," Zelenkov said.
According to the chief, the servicemen practised defensive and offensive actions as part of peacekeeping missions, engineer training, radiation and chemical protection and electronic warfare.
The task force is the successor to the 14th All-Arms Army that was brought under Russia’s jurisdiction after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Today, the task force numbers about 1,000 servicemen who take part in peace-keeping operations in cooperation with Moldavian and Transdniestria military personnel.
