MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. The Ladny guided missile frigate of the Russian Black Sea Fleet has departed from Sevastopol for the Mediterranean where it will join the Russian naval task force, Black Sea Fleet spokesman Vyacheslav Trukhachev said on Thursday.
"Today, the Ladny frigate of the Black Sea Fleet, having completed the cycle of preparation activities, departed from Sevastopol for a long-distance voyage. On the basis of the planned rotation of forces the ship’s crew will fulfill tasks within the Russian Navy’s permanent task force in the Mediterranean Sea," the official said.
According to him, the naval force currently comprises more than 10 warships and support vessels of the Black Sea, Pacific and Northern fleets.
