Some 40,000 servicemen to take part in Victory Day parades on May 9 across Russia

Overall, Victory Parades will be held in 26 cities of the country

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. Some 40,000 servicemen and over 800 items of hardware will take part in military parades on May 9 in honor of the 71st anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in World War II, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Overall, Victory Parades will be held in 26 cities of the country.

"The most large-scale parade will be held on Red Square in Moscow. It will involve more than 10,000 servicemen, over 170 items of military hardware, including more than 70 aircraft and helicopters," the statement said.
