Russia's IRKUT to supply over 30 Su-30SM fighters to Aerospace Forces before end of 2018

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The Russian Defense Ministry and the IRKUT Corporation have signed a contract on supplies to the Russian Aerospace Forces of Sukhoi Su-30SM (NATO reporting name: Flanker-C) multirole fighter aircraft.

"Under the contract, before end of 2018 the Air Force will receive more than 30 multirole fighter aircraft Sukhoi Su-30SM," the defense ministry’s press service said on Sunday.

Su-30SM is a multirole fighter aircraft developed by Sukhoi Design Bureau for gaining dominance in the air, it belongs to generation "4 ++". The producer began supplies of the multirole fighter in 2012 to be used by the Aerospace Forces and the Navy.
