Russia plans to sign new contract with India on supply of 48 Mi-17V-5 helicopters

In 2015, 3 helicopters were supplied under earlier made contracts

SINGAPORE, February 16. /TASS/. Russian Helicopters plans to sign a contract for supplying 48 Mi-17V-5 utility helicopters to India in 2016, the company’s Deputy CEO Alexander Shcherbinin said at the Singapore Airshow 2016 on Tuesday.

"In 2015, 3 helicopters were supplied under earlier made contracts. We plan to reach agreements with the Indian side on supply of a new batch of rotorcraft in 2016," he said, adding that the issue is about 48 Mi-17V-5 helicopters. According to Shcherbinin, the contract will be fulfilled through Rosoboronexport.
