Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia are showing interest in joint humanitarian drills with Russia’s Airborne Troops in the North Pole

MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. Russia’s Airborne Troops this year will conduct joint exercises with Egypt, Serbia and India, airborne forces commander Vladimir Shamanov said on Thursday.

"In accordance with the plan for international activities our units will participate in a tactical exercise in Serbia, in an exercise of the Egyptian armed forces and in a joint peacekeeping and humanitarian demining exercise in India, as well as in three exercises by special operations units in Belarus," Shamanov said.

Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia interested in drills with Russian Airborne Troops at North Pole

According to the commander, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia are showing interest in joint humanitarian drills with Russia’s AirborneTroops at the North Pole.

"In April last year and this year we’re traditionally accomplishing humanitarian missions in the North Pole. This year, we are looking through requests. So far, three countries have displayed interest in taking part in these events - Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia," the commander of Russia’s Airborne Troops said.
