MOSCOW, December 16 /TASS/. Russian Su-34 bombers have destroyed a column of 15 petrol tankers and about a hundred tanker trucks, which were used by terrorists, over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.
"With an aim to undermine the sources of revenues for the terrorists, Russian Su-34 bomb aircraft have destroyed 94 tanker trucks near the Deir ez-Zor populated locality," Konashenkov told journalists in Latakia, Syria.
He added that the Su-34 bombers had also destroyed a column of 15 petrol tankers in Hasika province during "free search". The column was transporting oil extracted in the terrorist-held territories northward.
Konashenkov clarified that all the Russian warplanes had safely returned to Hmeymim air base upon accomplishment of their combat tasks.
