MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Tests of the autonomous deep submersible Rus have ended in the central part of the Atlantic Ocean, it dived to the depth of over 6,000 meters, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The submersible was built at the Admiralteyskiye Verfi shipyard on an order from the Defense Ministry and is designed to conduct technical, search-and-rescue work at depths up to 6,000 meters with the use of a manipulator, as well as to make photographs and video recordings, conduct geological prospecting and archeological work.
