SOCHI, November 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday it is necessary to remove problems in interaction between military and civil agencies that have been revealed during maneuvers.
"As you know, a large number of military exercises have been held recently. This work involved large teams, including non-military teams, as well as enterprises among which there were privately-owned ones. They provided automobile transport, equipment, services, production capacities and so on," the president said at a meeting on the development of the country’s Armed Forces. "This work has revealed certain problems and shortcomings. There is nothing unexpected for us in this regard. It is necessary to thoroughly analyse how it all works in combination and interconnection," Putin said.
According to him, it is also necessary to solve the communications channel operation and transport logistics issues. "It’s the task for all enterprises of all forms of ownership, both the regional and local authorities, as well as business leaders," the president said.
"You have to understand that it’s a serious work. At first glance, it seems routine, but in any state, including ours, this work should be done at a certain high professional level," the president said. "And each person in charge on his post must be responsible for its execution."
On Monday, Putin pointed out the role of surprise checks and military exercises in the high combat readiness of the armed forces. He described Centre-2015 as the most significant exercise.
"It is obvious that the conclusions and proposals following the results of the exercises and drills should be used as the basis for plans to build up and develop the arms and services of the armed forces in 2016-2020," Putin said.
