Russian missile manufacturer opens Aerospace Defense educational center for foreigners

According to the statement, up to 2,000 people will be trained annually at the center

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia’s largest air defense system manufacturer Almaz-Antey has established an Aerospace Defense research and educational center, which will also train specialists from abroad, the Almaz-Antey press office told TASS on Monday.

"As of today, work has been completed to create a corporate personnel training system ensuring the continuous advanced training of personnel from the company and its subsidiaries at the Aerospace Defense research and educational center," the press office said in a statement.

"Up to 2,000 people will be trained annually at the center," the statement said.

The center will prepare personnel who will engage in the development and production of world-class competitive hi-tech products. The new structure will also train Russian and foreign specialists to operate the company’s antiaircraft defense systems, the Almaz-Antey press office said.

"The education process in the new center will begin in the near future and already several dozen foreign specialists will undergo special training as part of the first group of trainees. The company will hold their training as part of its obligations to some foreign customers under agreements on the delivery of military products abroad," the press office said.

The center will also train young specialists at basic departments of advanced training and re-skilling for the engineer and technical personnel of the company’s subsidiaries. In addition, the new structure will take part in the preparation of specialists for missile-manufacturing plants in Nizhny Novgorod and Kirov, the Almaz-Antey press office said.
