MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russian Aerospace Forces planes have prevented reconstruction of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization’s command post in the province of Hama in Syria, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

"An attempt by IS militants to restore a buried command post in the province of Hama, destroyed during our aircraft’s strikes September 30, has been blocked," Konashenkov said.

He said air intelligence assets and the headquarters of the Syrian Armed Forces detected restoration works there in time.

"To stop these works, an additional air strike was delivered on the command center near Latamna, as a result of which two large fire beds were registered in control center facilities," Konashenkov said, adding that the facility was nearly destroyed.

He also said air strikes near Maarat al-Numaan in the province of Idlib destroyed infrastructure of an IS militants training camp.
