MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. The crews of the Tupolev Tu-160 "White Swan" long-range aviation planes of Russia’s Aerospace Forces have successfully launched cruise missiles during the Center-2015 exercise, the Russian Defense Ministry press service told reporters on Friday.
"The long-range aviation crews of Russia’s Aerospace Forces practised launches of airmobile cruise missiles within the framework the Center-2015 exercise. The Tu-160 "White Swan" planes were involved in the drills. The crews of strategic bombers, taking off from the Engels airfield, performed an eight-hour flight over featureless terrain and successfully launched six cruise missiles at designated targets at the Pemboi range in the Komi republic," the Defense Ministry reported.
All the missiles hit the targets, the ministry said.
