MOSCOW, September 11. /TASS/. Russian Aerospace Force encompasses now its major command, the commands of strategic aviation and airlift aviation, four armies of the Air Forces and the Air Defense Forces of military districts, an army of the Air Defense and ABM-missile Force and an army of Aerospace Force, the Aerospace Force Commander-in-Chief Colonel General Viktor Bondarev said at a meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry’s panel on Friday.

Along with this, Gen Bondarev told the meeting that the Russian Aerospace Force also incorporates defense forces, units of air and anti-missile defense along with space forces.

Special forces - army units of electronic warfare support, communications, radio/technical support and automated command systems along with engineer and meteorological units - and army units and units of technical maintenance, logistics support and protection of military command agencies, military schools and research institutions have been integrated in the Aerospace Force, he said.

Besides, the Aerospace Force combat organization includes the Russian Defense Ministry’s flight-testing space-launch pad and army units and separate branches of the Force.
