Defense ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Thailand visit Russia's Arms Expo

There is a record number of foreign delegations for Russia Arms Expo

NIZHNY TAGIL, September 9. /TASS/. Official delegations from 65 countries, including defense ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, have come to Nizhny Tagil, a city in the Urals region to attend the Russia Arms Expo (RAE-2015) international exhibition of arms, military equipment and ammunition, the exhibition’s organizer Anatoly Kitsura told TASS.

"Defense ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Thailand have come to the exhibition. Also, deputy defense ministers from a dozen countries have arrived to have a look at the novelties of the military equipment. In total, delegations from 65 countries are attending the exhibition, including from Iran, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, the United States, Canada, China, India and Korea," Kitsura noted.

According to Kitsura, this is a record number of foreign delegations for Russia Arms Expo. "We see such extensive representation at the Nizhny Tagil exhibition for the first time. All the delegations that filed applications have arrived. Foreign guests are especially interested in newly-produced military equipment, such as tanks and infantry combat vehicles on the Armata platform and the T-90 tank modified especially for the Arab countries," Kitsura added.

The 10th Russia Arms Expo-2015 is held in Nizhny Tagil between September 9 and 12. About 250 companies are taking part in the exhibition, which presents new military equipment of all major enterprises of the Russian defense industry.
