MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. Units of Russia’s South group of forces occupied more advantageous positions in the Donetsk direction, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 470 servicemen, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
"In the Donetsk direction, units of the South Group of Forces occupied more advantageous positions and inflicted fire damage on the personnel and equipment of the 92nd assault, 28th and 93rd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Kleshcheevka and Kurdyumovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. A counterattack by assault groups of the 100th mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was repelled in the area of the Veseloe village in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy lost up to 470 military personnel and 20 vehicles, a US-made M109 Paladin 155 mm self-propelled artillery mount, a Polish 155 mm caliber Krab self-propelled artillery mount, two 152 mm caliber Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mounts, and a 122 mm caliber Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, and three D-30 howitzers of 122 mm caliber.
At the same time, the Russian forces destroyed up to 55 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction and defeated the enemy in the Rabotino area in the Zaporozhye region, the Ministry of Defense said.
"In the Kherson direction, units of the Dnepr group of troops inflicted fire on the personnel and equipment of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 121st and 126th territorial defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region, Chkalovo in the Dnepropetrovsk region, and Mikhailovka in the Kherson region," the ministry said.
