245 tonnes of humanitarian aid handed to civilians in DPR, Kharkov region — top brass

Mizintsev pointed out that since March 2, Russia had already delivered 20,700 tonnes of daily essentials, foodstuffs, medicines

MOSCOW, May 18. /TASS/. Three humanitarian actions, when 245 tonnes of humanitarian aid were handed out to civilians, were held in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Kharkov Region on Wednesday, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said.

"On May 18, 2022, three humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Kharkov Region, during which 245 tonnes of daily essentials and foodstuffs were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters in Ukraine.

Mizintsev pointed out that since March 2, Russia had already delivered 20,700 tonnes of daily essentials, foodstuffs, medicines and medical products to Ukraine, and 1,022 humanitarian actions have been carried out.

Federal executive bodies, a wide range of public organizations and patriotic movements continue to collect humanitarian aid. More than 23,000 tonnes of necessities, essential medicines and food kits, including baby formula, have been collected.
