Militants shelled settlements in Aleppo and Latakia provinces - Russia’s Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Militants from the Idlib de-escalation zone shelled settlements in the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia over the past 24 hours, Lieutenant General Sergei Solomatin, head of the Russian center for reconciliation of conflicting sides, told reporters on Sunday.

"Despite the established cessation of hostilities, in the Idlib de-escalation zone, militants of illegal armed groups attacked the Kinsibba village in Latakia province and the El-Khader village in the Ilib zone during the day," he said.

Solomatin also said that over the past 24 hours, the Reconciliation Center conducted two humanitarian actions in the provinces of Deir-ez-Zor and Deraa, it distributed 500 food packages sets to the residents.

In the provinces of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, local residents continue protests demanding the withdrawal of US-led coalition troops from Syria, added Solomatin.
